Back in 2018, Sarah Sewell, the owner of Energy Clothing in Stamford, spear headed a campaign to bring together local retail businesses. The mission, to create awareness of and to promote Stamford's independent retailers. and so the #ShopStamford campaign was launched.
The initiative has gone from strength to strength, from advertising campaigns to shopping events, even a book! It is wonderful to see the local community pull together and support one another to achieve a great buzz about the town and to keep it a bustling and thriving place to own a business.
The launch of the Little Book Of Stamford in 2019 encapsulates everything that is wonderful about the town. The #ShopStamford team created a free guide informing visitors of the best independent retailers, businesses, cafes, restaurants, and attractions in and around the town. You can pick up a guide in most places in town, and the guide showcases over 130 businesses and establishments. The perfect companion for your trip to Stamford!
It is more important than ever to help keep our beautiful town thriving by supporting independent retailers and to shop local!
